Maduro urges to study the influence of technology on boys and girls

The Head of State stated that "the influence of technologies on children and young people is a vital issue that must be addressed in time."

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, urged this Wednesday to study the influence of technology on education, boys, girls and young people.

In addition, he ordered his government team to have a proposal ready in 10 days to address the strengthening of the family and education, “in the face of the new threats of anti-values, anti-culture and drug addiction.”

Maduro pointed out that the influence of technologies on children and young people is a vital issue that must be addressed in time, AVN reported.

He specified that “it is affecting social relationships, it is affecting the ability to pay attention, it is affecting the new generations from a psychosocial point of view.”

And he added, “it is a great issue that I raise for the qualitative adaptation of Venezuelan education and that Venezuelan education also adapts to that situation, responds to it and puts our youth back to writing, reading, creating with their hands".

The head of state said that “re-education” is necessary, in principle, of adults, and then re-educate the family.

“We are on time,” he stressed, adding that the concept of family is the fundamental basis of society, which is why it must be strengthened for coexistence, values ​​and the future of a country.

Make big changes

In this sense, I continue to warn about “the influence that new technologies have on education today, it is an issue for which we have to prepare and make big changes.”
