The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated his day with grandparents with a dance therapy, held in Los Caobos park, in the city of Caracas.

Regarding the National Day of the Elderly being celebrated in Venezuela this May 29, the Head of State He praised the willpower, courage and conscience of older adults, while urging them to regularly practice sports and recreational activities.

“Long live the grandparents! What good dance therapy! I wanted to be with you to send a message to the grandparents, to the older adults: Let's practice exercises (…) Hugs, united towards new victories with a lot of health and energy,” she emphasized.

The great national exercise day is also carried out in all the states of the country, with the inclusion of the grandparents' clubs from each region and with recreational activities that promote the health and well-being of these citizens, an example for the youth. .

In Caracas, the celebration took place in the Los Caobos Park, with various recreational activities in which the Grandfathers and Grandmothers Club of Caracas, Miranda and La Guaira participated, as well as the Grandfathers and Grandmothers Sports Club, the Press release states. Presidential.

On May 8, the President of the Republic officially launched the Great Mission of Grandfathers and Grandmothers of the Homeland, to comprehensively serve older adults.

For this great mission, four important cornerstones were activated: Health and food; comprehensive social protection; movement of grandfathers and grandmothers of the Homeland and house of grandfathers and grandmothers.

On this occasion, from Los Caobos, the Bolivarian Government activated stations with nutrition and medical professionals to serve grandparents, who also participate in great dance therapy and cardiovascular exercises ideal to strengthen their health.
