Mega robotics center inaugurated on the corner of El Chorro

The space will be dedicated to the teaching of science to benefit children and young people of the city

A Mega Educational Robotics Center was inaugurated at the headquarters of the Ministry of Science and Technology, located on the corner of El Chorro, Avenida Universidad, Caracas.

This project, which is added to the three mega centers already installed in Zulia, Miranda and La Guaira, is testimony to the Bolivarian Government's commitment to scientific-technical education, says a press release from Mppcyt.

With more than 21.000 people trained and 100 robotics centers operating in Infocenters nationwide, educational robotics in Venezuela has taken a quantum leap.

The Minister for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, highlighted this Thursday's event and stated that in these spaces "our youth will be trained in areas such as programming and electronics; "knowledge that will allow them to develop and train for digital life."

“Today we inaugurate the Mega Educational Robotics Center of the city of Caracas, which will operate at the headquarters of the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology, on the corner of El Chorro on Universidad Av., a beautiful space that will be dedicated to our children. , girls and young people of the Homeland. Here we will be training our youth in areas such as programming and electronics; knowledge that will allow them to develop and train for digital life. Thanks to President @NicolasMaduro we continue to sow knowledge for the well-being of the Venezuelan people,” wrote Minister Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez on the social network X.

A renewed space for Science

The Educational Robotics Mega Nucleus is not just a place; It is a dream come true for many young people.

Fully adapted and conditioned, this mega nucleus becomes a space for learning where girls, boys, young people and adults can immerse themselves in the world of robotics and programming.

The conditioning of the physical plant, the provision of high-tech equipment, the activation of trainers and facilitators, are some of the tools that this space offers for innovation.

The impact of this mega core extends beyond its walls. It is the first in the capital city and from here there will be a space for training programming that will benefit the 22 Caracas parishes.

It has a Programming Room and a Robotics Room fully equipped with cutting-edge technology, including state-of-the-art computers, Smart TVs and robotics kits, providing the necessary tools for participants to take their first steps in these areas of science.

Electronics Laboratory and Room for People with Visual Disabilities

In addition, it will have an Electronics Laboratory, where theory will meet practice. Here, participants can work with electronic circuits and develop projects with Arduino, as well as design and 3D print.

Inclusion is key, and the Room for People with Visual Impairments is a clear example of this, offering an adapted environment with technology and specialized software to ensure that everyone has access to technological education.

Its inauguration was led by the sectoral vice president of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, who highlighted this knowledge and technological space in Caracas represents a beacon of knowledge and national development.

In addition, he highlighted that the Mega Núcleo is dedicated to the training of girls, boys and young people in crucial areas for the future: robotics, programming and electronics.

“We inaugurated our youth Educational Robotics Center, a space dedicated to our boys and girls to teach robotics, programming and electronics; the experiences, the knowledge and the elements that allow them to train for life, for digital life, for the development of the country's technology,” he commented.

He indicated that the inauguration of this center is a call to action so that “our young people are not only consumers of technology, but creators and developers of their own applications.”

"In this space, which President Nicolás has ordered to be created, we then have a robotics laboratory, some competition rooms, an entire electronics and 3D printing workshop that allows our boys and girls to design electronic circuits, print components, parts and pieces to integrate the prototypes they want to create,” he said.

The inauguration of the Torre Ministerial Educational Robotics Mega Nucleus is a milestone in the educational history of Venezuela, a space where curiosity becomes knowledge, and this turns into solutions that will improve living conditions in Caracas communities.
