This initiative, framed in the National Human Rights Training Program for Police Officers, had Dr. María Reyes, General Director of promotion and dissemination of the defense entity, as a speaker, and had the participation of officials from various police forces. of Lara state, who deepened their knowledge about appropriate police procedures in cases involving children and adolescents, and the Law to Prevent and Punish Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment, the DDP indicated in a press release.

Also, participants discussed the importance of police action with a gender and age focus, mechanisms to guarantee the rights of children and adolescents in contexts of deprivation of liberty, and the prevention of violence against this sector of the population.
