Representative América Pérez: Chávez called us to build the Missions

Pérez participated in the second episode of "Venezuela Mujer Podcast" a space promoted by President Maduro

The deputy to the National Assembly (AN) América Pérez, stated that “(Hugo) Chávez called us to build the Missions,” and that one of the many reasons why she entered the Revolution was “for purely social reasons, he called me and I was caught by the possibility of transforming society.”

Pérez participated this Sunday in the second episode of “Venezuela Mujer Podcast”, a space promoted by President Maduro, as the sixth vertex of the Great Venezuela Women Mission (GMVM), Communication and Culture System for Women.

This space led by the head of the Great Venezuela Women Mission, Dheliz Álvarez, Deputy Pérez recalled that “I entered a circle where missions such as the Fundación Misión Negra Hipólit and Misión José Gregorio Hernández were proposed, where I had the opportunity to participate and see “how the Revolution gave dignity to those who had historically been excluded.”

He recalled how the people who hurt you the most “when they ask for economic sanctions, then present themselves as your saviors.”

“In the midst of the Revolution and what we do, we also have passions, we also have love for others and that makes us human,” said the deputy.

He argued that in these turbulent times, “making revolution is an act of courage because of everything it implies to think about a world like ours, dominated by the capitalist system, a world where the truth is permanently manipulated.”
