CANTV successfully completed reconnection days in May

Caracas, La Guaira and Miranda top the list of most users with re-established connectivity

In the month of May alone, the National Telephone Company of Venezuela (CANTV) provided telecommunications restitution services to 89 thousand subscribers in the national territory.

The various breakdowns in networks and transmission media were due to theft, deterioration and vandalism. Damage caused by third parties, weather conditions, among other factors.

Likewise, the information published on the website of the Ministry of Science and Technology establishes that the Capital region obtained the highest number of cases resolved, with approximately 31.000 users served in the states of La Guaira, Miranda and the Capital District. In second place was the Eastern region, where landline telephone and Internet services were restored to around 13.700 subscribers.

At the same time, the Central region with 12.300 cases resolved and Guyana with more than 9.400. As for the Los Llanos region, 9.300 incidents were attended to and in the West more than 7.000. The Andean region was in last place with 6 users who already have their connectivity reestablished. All this was achieved through various deployments carried out by CANTV's Blue Force.

According to the update, the tasks carried out included: corrective and preventive maintenance of transmission networks and equipment, change of cables, terminal strips, sleeves, connectors, reconstruction of splices and check of telephone lines. These actions had the support of the Popular Power and the Telecommunications Technical Roundtables.
