There are about 200 families that were affected by losing all their belongings due to the flooding of their homes.

Heavy rains fell in the Rosario de Perijá municipality, Zulia state, on the night of this Saturday, June 15, affecting several sectors of the Donaldo García parish, known as Barranquitas, where flooding was reported in streets, homes and institutions, AVN reported. .

The councilor of the Block of the Homeland, of the town located in the Perijá subregion of the Zuliana entity, Jesús López, reported that there are about 200 families that were seriously affected by losing all their belongings, due to the flooding of their homes.

“There are approximately 200 or more families that lost everything, refrigerators, kitchens, beds, mattresses, washing machines, among others, due to the amount of water that has fallen and the lack of maintenance and cleaning of the ravines,” he said. Lopez.

He indicated that the most affected sectors are Las Taparitas Bolivarianas, Taparita Renacer, Las Acacias, Los Hijos de Chávez, La Victoria, part of Pueblo Nuevo and Nathaly Soto.

He reported that machinery and crews will be activated to carry out drainage work.
