In this regard, the Ministry indicated in a press release that more than 2.000 meters of pipeline will be installed, in a complex area that is difficult to access due to the complexity of the mountainous terrain.

The note details that in the first phase, 888 meters of 36-inch pipe were installed, while in the second phase that is underway, 648 are being installed for a total of 536 meters placed in this complex and difficult-to-access terrain.

Likewise, the difficulty of installing the pipeline stands out because the sections – 12 meters long and weighing 4 tons each – must be towed to the work area by peñeros, and then placed at the points where they will be attached to the pipe. the network with heavy machinery.

In addition, he adds that there are 38 work fronts deployed for replacement, and it is not ruled out that additional sections of pipe will need to be changed to avoid future damage to the adduction.
