Some 257 kits called “Trabucos Clap” were distributed to producers who live in the Local Supply and Production Committees (Clap) in the state of Lara (Barquisimeto).

The National government, seeking to territorialize urban agro-development policies, made this delivery with the objective of strengthening the “P” of Claps production, through which endogenous agri-food security is promoted.

The producers served are in the fields and Social Production Units (UPS) located in the municipalities of Jiménez (Quibor), Andrés Eloy Blanco (Sanare), Morán (El Tocuyo), Iribarren (Barquisimeto) and Simón Planas (Sarare).

Regarding the goal of delivering field tools for planting, Taimara Jiménez, director of the Urban Development portfolio of the Ministry of Urban Agriculture (Minppau), explained that to date, 257 kits have been distributed in Lara, to a total of 310 Trabuco Clap kits have been delivered.

Jiménez explained that in the first phase, producers from the 58 parishes of the entity were benefited, which supported the production of a total planted area of ​​155 thousand square meters, which will positively impact 84 thousand 420 families. , approximately.

He recalled that the first delivery began on June 6 of the current year, during the visit of the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro to the El Maizal Commune, located in Simón Planas.

What does Trabuco Clap contain?

It is important to note that within the “Trabuco Clap” there are seeds of lettuce, onion and cabbage, among others, essential to strengthen local production for the direct benefit of the families of the point and circle of each Commune.

The aforementioned kit also contains other inputs necessary to strengthen the sowing, such as leachate, biocontroller, gloves, a flannel, a gardening kit, chicora, machete, pickaxe, watering can, sprinkler and hose.

Likewise, a booklet that guides producers on the effective use of these tools, to have effective production.

After the producers receive said material, they have the opportunity to access the WhatsApp group of the Trabuco Clap community in Lara with a QR code, and through this digital community they begin to interact in the area of ​​training and support by the producers. technicians from the Ciara Foundation, Jiménez specified.
