Young Venezuela Mission served more than 280 children in Guárico

With different medical services and educational sessions they approached young people from the Ortiz municipality

A total of 280 children from Ortiz in the Guárico state were treated with a medical day of the Great Young Venezuela Mission, held at the Beatriz de Rodríguez National Educational Unit.

A press release from the Regional Health Directorate indicates that among the services offered in the operation are general medicine, nutrition, dentistry, physiatry, mental health, HIV screening, vaccination, delivery of free medications and others.

The medical team also provided educational sessions on family planning, contraception, and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.

The director of health programs, Adalberth Barrios, pointed out that the objective of this type of activities is to guarantee a better quality of life for young people, within the framework of the vertices of this great mission.

“Our purpose is to guarantee a better life for the young people of the country, that is why we continue holding these days,” he stated.

For her part, the young Airam Viñas thanked “the benefits they have given us through the Great Young Venezuela Mission. “We have received instructions on how to take care of ourselves, motivating us to be better and responsible people, and have a healthy youth.”

In turn, María Hernández said: “I am very grateful for this day, because they evaluated my health status and gave me the necessary medications. I would like them to continue doing it because this way they protect the well-being of young people.”

The medical approach was framed in the fourth vertex of the aforementioned Great Mission, called “Let's take care of ourselves”, where the Comprehensive Community Health Area (ASIC) Dr. José Gregorio Hernández participated.
