66 new units are incorporated into peace quadrants in Guárico

They provided vans and motorcycles to 104 urban, rural and road quadrants of peace

With 66 new units, including vans and motorcycles, the peace quadrants in the Guárico state were equipped, with the aim of strengthening their work and continuing to guarantee the security of the people.

From the La Puerta del Llano monument, in San Juan de los Morros, M/G Federico Guzmán Bornia, general director of the Office of the Sectoral Vice Presidency of Citizen Security and Peace, highlighted that this delivery occurs within the framework of the provision that It is carried out at the national level, in order to strengthen all the Peace Quadrants.

“The intention is to give greater security to the population, give them greater participation and continue equipping to strengthen security agencies,” he said. 

For his part, Governor José Vásquez emphasized that the new units are added to those that have already been delivered throughout the state, and that they go directly to the service of the people.

He said that Guárico has 104 peace quadrants, which serve more than 1.700 communities, 39 parishes and 15 municipalities.

He highlighted the work that has been promoted by the various citizen security bodies, indicating the progress in the fight against violence, which today places the region among the top 6 positions of the safest states in the country. “In 2017 we were among the most insecure states and today we have made great progress,” added Vásquez.

On his social networks he wrote that “Guárico will continue to be a territory of peace and security! In a civil-military-police union we are going to continue the work so that all Guariqueña families feel safe and calm.”

Present at the activity were G/D Luiger Ugas Medina, executive secretary for Territorial Sovereignty, Security and Peace; and members of the PNB, Poliguárico, Municipal Police, Cicpc, Civil Protection and Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).
