Quitapesares Festival 2024 fills Calabozo with culture and tradition

This cultural event will take place until June 7, in which more than 340 students from the 15 municipalities of Guárico participate.

Until next June 7, the Quitapesares 2024 festival will be held in Calabozo, a folkloric meeting that brings together more than 340 students from the 15 municipalities of Guarique, who will offer presentations in 11 cultural areas such as singing, dance, declamation and others. .

The activities began with a joyful and colorful inaugural parade held this Tuesday the 4th, which started from the vial on 23 de Enero Avenue to the Bolívar Plaza of the entity, where a mass of thanksgiving was held, to put in the hands of God this competition of knowledge and actions that adorns the capital of the Francisco de Miranda municipality.

Later, in the afternoon, the presentation of various cultural events was opened, highlighting the participation of the Simón Díaz Orchestra, declamation by the students Yanetsy Hernández and Albermary López, presentation by Maurimar Demuchez and Ángel Rojas, joropo dance by by teachers from the municipality, and merengue piano dancing by students and teachers from EB Lazo Martí.

In the dance category, boys and girls from the municipalities of Ortiz, Guayabal, Camaguán, Mellado, Rondón, Chaguaramas and Roscio demonstrated their talents.

The culture liaison of the Center for the Development of Educational Quality – Guárico (CDCE), professor Cecilia Ledezma, indicated that “we are in Calabozo kicking off the great cultural festival of the Quitapesares Miranda 2024 Meeting of Knowledge and Doings, where the 15 municipalities of “Our state comes together to demonstrate the different and majestic cultural presentations that they have prepared for us.”

According to a press release from CDCE Guárico, this festival takes place within the framework of vertex number 3 “Education for the cultures of Venezuela” of the Great Mission Viva Venezuela Mi Patria Querida, and as part of the social program Mi Escuela Querida, taking to educational centers as the epicenter of the cultural development of children and adolescents.
