Sports Talent School built in Calabozo

Construction work began on 9 classrooms, 2 laboratories, kitchen, dining room, bathrooms and other areas

In Calabozo, Guárico state, they resume the construction of the School of Sports Talents, a new infrastructure for the massification of sports in the plains entity.

In this regard, Governor José Vásquez explained that the work includes the construction of 9 classrooms, 2 laboratories, kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, common areas, administrative area and general services area.

He said that in these spaces young people will be provided with the necessary academic training in 7 sports disciplines, such as basketball, athletics, chess, taekwondo and others.

The regional president commented that this has been part of the gifts from the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, for the 300 years of founding of the town of Calabozo, while indicating that this team will be added to those that have already been delivered in Zaraza , Valle de la Pascua and San Juan de los Morros, “to continue supporting young athletes and future sporting glories,” he added.

Engineer Mary Carmen Monsalve, executive secretary of Public Works and Services in the state, explained that work will also be carried out for the construction of white water and sewage wells, electrical installations, waterproofing, wall covering, decoration and others.

On the other hand, the sole authority in education, Elías Zurita and the president of the Regional Sports Institute (Irdebg), Ángel Acosta, thanked the national government and the Guariqueña Government for this project that will promote the training of young people and turn them into great athletes of the country.

In the same way, the mayor of the entity, Donald Donaire, pointed out that this school is located in what will be the Calabozo Sports City, and that it represents a significant advance in the growth and development of the municipality.

“Today a dream is fulfilled for the people of Calabozo, thank you president, thank you governor, the Calaboceños thank you,” added the local leader.
