Venezuela activates Risk Alert System due to Hurricane Beryl

The vice president indicated that the hurricane will not impact Venezuelan territory, however, prevention organizations are ready to respond to any incident.

The vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that the National Risk Alert Management System was activated to prevent eventualities derived from the rains that could generate the Hurricane Beryl as it passes through the Caribbean Sea.

On Sunday night, through his account on the social network @NicolasMaduro has instructed the activation of the National Risk Management System to prevent and respond to any incident due to rain.”

In this sense, he stressed that the hurricane will not directly impact the national territory, and called for "prevention and awareness."

“We are very attentive to the passage and movement of this hurricane,” said the vice president, who added that the Venezuelan Government also activated the International Management System to provide support to other countries that could be affected.
