Nicolás Maduro congratulated the new president of Vietnam

The Head of State ratified Venezuela's commitment to continue raising relations with Vietnam to the highest levels in various areas of cooperation

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, expressed, on behalf of the Venezuelan people, his congratulations to Tô Lâm, who was sworn in as President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Through his X account, the Head of State ratified Venezuela's commitment to continue raising relations with Vietnam to the highest levels in various areas of cooperation.

It is important to remember that on April 18, the Head of State announced the signing of five cooperation agreements in agricultural matters, telecommunications, gas and oil with Viennam.

"We have signed a strategic alliance for the construction of a new glass industry in Venezuela, we have signed a comprehensive work plan so that Vietnam supports us even more in agricultural production, we have ratified the alliance in oil and gas, we have sealed a alliance for the development of petrochemicals and fifthly we have established an alliance for the development of telecommunications,” said the Venezuelan head of state at that time.

Officially, diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Vietnam were established on December 18, 1989. However, ties of friendship and cooperation were forged years ago in the heat of the Hanoi War of Liberation and Unification in 1964.

Multisectoral cooperation between both countries has been consolidated at the highest level, as a result of the geostrategic vision marked by the construction of a multicentric and pluripolar world.
