Mintur delivers seal of excellence to the Wyndham Concorde in Margarita

This seal is based on the Tourism Law with the purpose of promoting the quality of tourism service providers in the country.

The Wyndham Concorde hotel located in the city of Porlamar, Mariño municipality of the Nueva Esparta state, is the first to receive the seal of tourism excellence in organizational management and work performance awarded by the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism (Mintur), after comply with all protocols established for such distinction.

This was stated by Minister Alí Padrón, who presented this distinction to the hotel's general manager, Nicola Scarpati, along with Vice Minister Asdrúbal Rincones and part of the ministry's board of directors.

“There are currently four tourism quality seals and this year we are evaluating three more seals that seek to enhance excellence and quality of service in active tourism, environmental management, and tourist guiding. There are different elements that will be adding to the excellence in the service, in the quality of the attention that a tourist requires and the state of Nueva Esparta has been making a great effort with its tourism service providers to raise their quality,” he said. With this seal of tourist excellence, the Wyndham Concorde hotel is certified as a lodging with high standards of quality of service on Margarita Island.

In this regard, Nicola Scarpati, general manager of said accommodation, expressed his satisfaction for achieving this distinction and expressed his commitment to continue working for excellence in service.

“We are truly very proud to have received from the hands of Minister Alí Padrón this seal that we have achieved with great effort and great dedication. Our strength is quality service and we continue to maintain it,” said Scarpati.

The Wyndham celebrated the awarding of the tourism excellence seal with the presentation of regional artist Jennifer Moya, and the performance of the dance troupe from the hotel's recreation and entertainment area, who delighted guests with pieces of traditional Venezuelan music.

Areas of tourist interest

On the other hand, the Minister of Tourism announced that three areas of tourist interest in the state of Nueva Esparta are about to be declared. He indicated that the first would be in the city of Porlamar, Mariño municipality, specifically in the area of ​​the boulevards, Santiago Mariño avenue and 4 de Mayo. The second zone would be located in the Macanao Peninsula and the third in Guacuco beach, Arismendi municipality.
