Maduro creates fund to support economic sectors of Cumanacoa

The beneficiaries of the fund in Bs. equivalent to $1M are the production, services and commerce sectors.

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, created a fund of one million dollars to support financing for the economic sectors of the population of Cumanacoa in the state of Sucre, severely affected by the passage of Hurricane Beryl.

“President Nicolás Maduro, due to the impact in Cumanacoa due to the passage of Hurricane Beryl, has created a fund in Bs. equivalent to $1M to support with financing, without any conditions, the economic sectors affected after the rains and flooding of the river,” says the vice president's publication.

Likewise, he indicated that the production, services and commerce sectors will receive this financing.

On July 3, President Maduro activated the Presidential Command Post in Cumanacoa, Montes municipality of Sucre state, to serve the people in a comprehensive manner, after the Manzanares River overflowed on July 2.

In addition, Lockiby Belmontes was designated as the Single Central Authority to serve the people of Sucre in this situation.

“I announce the activation of the Presidential Command Post in Cumanacoa, to assume control and development of all comprehensive plans: water, food, electricity, housing, household goods, machinery, financial, in perfect popular-military union. We will overcome everything that has arisen from this situation and come out stronger, that is the challenge,” the head of state announced on that occasion.

In this context, the Minister of Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, reported this Monday that the plan to reactivate the road from Cumaná, Sucre state, to San Antonio de Capayacuar, Monagas state, is already in execution.
