Transit through Morón-Coro interrupted due to failure of the Paso Nuevo bridge

The work crews are on site with the relevant expertise

Vehicular traffic was interrupted this Friday, July 5, on Trunk 003 near the municipality of Píritu (Píritu) due to failures on the Paso Nuevo bridge.

Between the El Huequito and Curarí sectors of the Morón-Coro national highway, the transport passage was paralyzed because a good part of the bridge road gave way and to avoid further damage to the junction, the authorities decided to impose the restriction.

It was learned that the levels of water accumulation in recent years could have caused the situation, however, the expert team is on site verifying the conditions of the infrastructure.

With no report of material damage, the Secretary of Citizen Security, General Miguel Morales Miranda, stated that the state Government team is doing the same to channel solutions.

In the first instance, they alert drivers at the different control points located in both directions of the Trunk so that they can take the appropriate measures.

In addition, they suggest that heavy vehicles coming from Zulia take the Lara-Zulia highway to avoid further delays in the delivery of merchandise, in the same way to those coming from the center of the country.

This while they are building an alternate route to restore traffic on this important national highway that connects the west with the center of the country.
