Venezuela and Saudi Arabia expand fishing and aquaculture cooperation

Authorities from both countries held a virtual meeting to discuss issues related to the export of seafood products

The governments of Venezuela and Saudi Arabia are moving forward to expand bilateral cooperation in fishing and aquaculture matters, with the execution of telematic meetings to refine details about it.

According to a press release from the Ministry of fisheries and aquaculture, Venezuelan authorities held a virtual meeting with representatives of the Saudi Vice Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture to discuss issues related to the export of national fishing and aquaculture products to the sister nation's market.

In this sense, Venezuelan officials presented the potential of our country in the production of shrimp and blue crab.

Among the proposed proposals, a virtual meeting between Venezuelan and Saudi Arabian businessmen stands out. fishing and aquaculture sector to facilitate contact and the generation of business opportunities.

Regarding health certificates, the need to start a recognition and homologation process was raised. Likewise, it was agreed to include the health issue in the memorandum of understanding that will be signed in the coming days, laying the foundations for cooperation in this area.
