Renault plans to market 400 vehicles in Venezuela

For now they will focus on imports from Colombia to Venezuela

After ten years, the French brand Renault has returned to Venezuela and now hopes to market about 400 vehicles from Colombia by the end of the year.

The marketing of the vehicles is carried out through the importer Latamcar, whose main shareholder is a Spanish group with which Renault-Sofasa has “a long commercial relationship”, since they also have representation of the brand in other territories in Europe and Africa.

With this move, the brand has once again been present in the country since May with eight dealerships and representation in eight cities “with ambition for the moment to market vehicles that are assembled-manufactured in Colombia (…) We reopened that border crossing between Cúcuta and San Antonio del Táchira for land imports from Colombia,” the president and general director of Renault-Sofasa, Argentine Ariel Montenegro, said in an interview with Bloomberg.

Montenegro expressed that for now they will focus on the import of vehicles from Colombia to Venezuela.
