Ten category two wells of Petrojunín are reactivated in Anzoátegui

The start-up of these 10 wells will contribute a significant share to the plan to increase national oil production.

With the purpose of increasing production operations, Petróleos de Venezuela, SA (Pdvsa) through Petrojunín, SA, a Joint Company attached to the Corporación Venezolana del Petróleo, SA (CVP), successfully reactivated the Basic Construction and Production Unit (UBCP) Macolla MPJ7, thanks to the recent commissioning of 10 category 2 wells that were out of service for more than 5 years.

This achievement achieved in the midst of blockade and sanctions highlights the determination of the working class to promptly recover this cluster that assertively contributes to the sustained increase in production, says the web portal of PDVSA.

The recovery of the UBCP Macolla MPJ7, located in the Junín Block 5 of the Orinoco Oil Belt, south of the Anzoátegui state, has also been carried out by the arduous support of the Executive Directorate of the Orinoco Oil Belt Hugo Chávez (FPOHC) through the Major Projects Management and the General Management of the Junín Division.

Together with the Presidency, General Management and the workforce of this Joint Enterprise, they managed to make the necessary adjustments to put this production structure into operation.

Among the works carried out were the recovery of frequency converters, well heads, electric motors, wiring, electric generators, in addition to the construction of more than 7 km of diluenduct.

With the start-up of these 10 wells, it is planned to add a production potential that will mark a milestone for this Joint Venture, thus allowing it to contribute a significant share to the plan to increase national oil production.

In this way, Pdvsa Petrojunín is emerging as a company that is aligned with the rebirth of the main industry of Venezuelans towards achieving the goal framed in the 2024 national production plan, complying with the instructions issued by the National Executive that heads the first president, Nicolás Maduro Moros and with the help of the Minister of Popular Power of Petroleum and president of PDVSA, Pedro Rafael Tellechea.
