Maduro: After winning the 28J Venezuela will enter the Brics

The Head of State highlighted that Venezuela is on the path of entry and organic articulation with the new powers of the world

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured this Monday that after winning the elections on July 28, Venezuela will join the Brics.

In this regard, he commented that he hopes that at the next Moscow Summit, Venezuela enters the door of the Brics as a member and direct partner from South America.

"At the South Africa summit last year we were incorporated as permanent guests and I hope that at the Moscow summit, after the great victory on July 28, listen, after the great victory on July 28, Venezuela will enter the front door of the Brics as a direct partner member from South America,” he said.

During the broadcast of his program “Con Maduro +” number 46, the Head of State highlighted that Venezuela is on the path of entry and organic articulation with the new powers of the world.

“The Brics is the new world without hegemonism, they are the new power blocks that Commander Hugo Chávez dreamed of and that he foresaw 200 years ago in Libertador Simón Bolívar when he left the geopolitical concept of building a balance in the universe,” he expressed.

Celac-Brics

Likewise, the National President showed his interest in the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) ceasing to be a community and becoming a Confederation of Republics, countries and States of Latin America and the Caribbean.

He explained that the Celac documents agreed upon at the last summit in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines already exist, where the path to create a permanent forum between Celac and the Brics was approved, “which would be the first step for Latin America and the Caribbean as block the union between Celac and the Brics will be articulated in the future.”

“Our project is directed towards a communion with Celac and the Brics. That's where we are going (…) An anti-colonizing and anti-hegemonist project,” Maduro highlighted.

Agreements with China

On the other hand, Maduro highlighted that the agreements signed with China are lost from sight, this encompasses for the Venezuelan business community a great offer of trade with the member countries of the BRICS. “Imagine this new world.”

"The agreements with China on seafood products mean progress for the Venezuelan business community in terms of production, investment and sales," he said.

In this sense, President Maduro highlighted that the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) will give the country great economic income.
