A group of Turkish businessmen from the Sayinlar Group, producers of sunflower, soybean and olive oil with exports to more than 60 countries, arrived in the country to install the oil processing plant in the state of La Guaira.

The businessmen were received by Governor José Alejandro Terán, the president of Bolivariana de Puertos, Admiral Érika Vírgüez, and the sole authority of the La Guaira SEZ, Marcos Meléndez.

Governor Terán reported that this first advance of engineers will evaluate the spaces and begin the technical work for the installation of the plant that must be in La Guaira in about 45 days.

“This important alliance with this Turkish company plans to export this product from our port. The goal is to be able to produce starting in the month of August, thus generating new sources of employment for our people.” He pointed out that they estimate to produce one and a half million liters of oil per month.

The president of Bolipuertos, Admiral Érika Vírgüez, said that these alliances are a perfect symbiosis of Venezuelan ports, as long as the ports continue to work and provide their support.

He highlighted that the ports will be nodes for receiving and delivering materials at the time they occur, since the growth of the Special Economic Zone "and the growth of the ports are the fundamental axis for the development of the country's economy."

Terán indicated that this project of the oil factory and the two hotels being built in Camurí Chico are three companies that are installed within the framework of the La Guaira Special Economic Zone, the factory being the first of an industrial type.
