Conindustria report says that 57% of companies perceive an improvement in the economy

65% of those surveyed consider that the country's economic situation will be "better" in the next 12 months compared to the current one

57% of Venezuelan companies perceived an improvement in the country's economic situation during the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, reported a report published this Wednesday by the Venezuelan Confederation of Industrialists (Conindustria).

The document, prepared from a survey of 1.504 companies, indicates that 30% of those consulted consider that the situation in the country is “the same”, 13% believe it is “worse”, 1% “much worse”, refers EFE.

65% of those surveyed consider that the country's economic situation will be “better” in the next 12 months compared to the current one, 28% think that it will be “the same”, 6% that it will be “worse”, while no one believes that it will be “much worse” or “much better.”

According to the report, in April 2024, non-oil tax collection of $883 million was recorded, more than double the $405 million collected in the same month last year.

In this probabilistic survey, Conindustria stratified companies by economic group, size and federal entity, so large establishments had more than 100 employees, medium-sized ones from 21 to 100 workers, while small ones had between 5 and 20.
