June inflation was 1%, the lowest for that month in 39 years

This is the lowest inflation in 12 years for any month

Inflation during the month of June closed at 1.0%, the lowest for that month in 39 years and in almost 12 years for any month, according to figures published this Monday by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).

The country's highest financial institution posted the latest projections of the National consumer price index (INPC), which registered a decrease of 0.5% compared to the end of May when it registered 1.5%.

It should be noted that this is the lowest inflation figure since July 2012, that is, 12 years, when the INPC also marked 1%. Likewise, it is the lowest for the month of June in 39 years.

As a preview of the year, accumulated inflation at the national level in the first six months was 8.9%, the lowest for a similar period since 2012 (7.3%), BCV indicators show.
