ALBA-TCP and CIIP will have a marketing route between member countries

Authorities reviewed the 2030 agenda and the route to follow to develop productive activities for the benefit of the people

The president of the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP), Alex Saab, held a meeting with the Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People's Trade Treaty (ALBA – TCP), Jorge Arreaza, to promote productive investments in the country and the Latin American region.

Both authorities reviewed and discussed the 2030 agenda and the route to follow to develop productive activities that benefit the growth of the people of the Latin American and Caribbean region, CIIP reported in a press release.

It is worth remembering that, on April 24, during the closing of the XXIII Summit of heads of State and Government of the ALBA-TCP, they approved the Caracas Declaration that contemplates 22 proposals within what will be the strategic actions to promote the ALBA 2030 Agenda, document that the Executive Secretary of the entity gave to the President of the CIIP during his visit to the Center's facilities.

The president of the CIIP Alex Saab described the meeting with the Executive Secretary of the ALBA-TCP as “excellent”, and highlighted that the path of the Revolution always places the people and the construction of a more just and peaceful world as a priority. .

Likewise, the meeting was conducive to discussing the potential that is part of the offer of opportunities to receive productive investments, and generate new joint production and marketing programs between the CIIP and the member countries of the ALBA-TCP.

For his part, the Executive Secretary of ALBA-TCP, Jorge Arreaza, highlighted that, “our Bolivarian Alliance is heading towards a definitive economic and productive boost to generate social impacts and tangible benefits for its people.”

A common agenda

During the closing of the XXIII Summit of Heads of State and Government of the ALBA-TCP, seven proposals were established, which were called ALBA 2030, among which the following stand out:

  1. Creation of a Cooperation and Development Agency.
  2. Relaunch of Petrocaribe.
  3. Approval of the ALBA Food Plan.
  4. Complete and adopt the People's Trade Agreement.
  5. Special program of scientific, cultural, communication and academic development shared, with the foundation of the University of the Peoples of ALBA.
  6. Relaunch of the ALBA Health Plan.
  7. Move forward with the creation of an ALBA agency to mitigate climate change.
