Venezuela U18 arrived in Argentina for the AmeriCup

The tricolor team will seek its place for the 19 U2025 World Cup

The Venezuelan U18 preselection is already working to be the protagonist in the FIBA ​​AmeriCup 2024, which will be held in the city of Buenos Aires from June 3 to 9. 

The team arrived in the capital of Argentina on Wednesday night and already had their first practice at the Racing Club sports center to get ready for the competition. 

Through the social network X (former Twitter) they shared several photographs of the training carried out by these figures who seek to win the champion trophy.

The team is made up of: Ydderick González, César Becerra, Diego Sulbarán, Jeiminson Márquez, Alan Noguera, Jesús Centeno, Anthony Reyes, Quiero Vargas, Daniel Saracual, Marlon Ascanio, Lois Castillejo, José Guerra and José Colmenarez.

From these 13 names, the 12 chosen by the coaching staff will be chosen to compete in the Fiba AmeriCup 2024 with the aim of winning a place for the U19 World Cup to be held in 2025. 

The team had arduous preparation work for more than a month at the National High Performance Center with the aim of arriving in the best possible conditions to surpass their rivals. 

Venezuela is in Group A of the competition with the teams from Canada, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. For its part, Group B is made up of Brazil, the United States, Argentina and Belize.
