Santander reached 600 hits in his career

He joined Luis Aparicio and Melvin Mora as the Venezuelans with at least that many hits with the Orioles

The Venezuelan outfielder of the Baltimore Orioles, Anthony Santander, is beginning to reap the fruits of what have been his most recent seasons in the Major Leagues; where he has taken off to the point of becoming one of the key pieces of his team's slugging.

Now, this Monday when he hit a home run; his number 11 of the season, and doubling in four at-bats during the Orioles' 7-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays, the Margarita native reached 600 hits in his career in the Majors.

In this way, he becomes the third Venezuelan to reach six hundreds in the Orioles uniform. He joins Luis Aparicio; who hit 740 in five seasons with the Orioles, and Melvin Mora who during 10 years with the team hit 1.323 hits without enemies.

However, it must be noted that of Santander's 600 hits, 333 have arrived since 2022. They represent more than half (55%) and eclipse the 265 it shipped in the first five years of its career. This denotes what has been the takeoff that “Agua Blanca” has had with the wood.
