Maduro celebrates passage to the quarterfinals of la Vinotinto in Copa America

"What if we have faith? Of course we have faith! Yes We Can," said the national leader

The national leader, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated the exciting passage to the quarterfinals of la Vinotinto in Copa América, which is held on American soil. “They are making history, with every play and with every goal,” he wrote on his digital media account.

“How much excitement we are experiencing with the Copa América 2024! La Vinotinto once again achieves an exciting victory to advance to the quarterfinals,” added Maduro after the national soccer team's victory over Mexico 1×0 in an electrifying match not for the faint of heart.

Maduro highlighted that each performance of the team “elevates our tricolor to the highest and fills us with deep pride. What if we have faith? Of course we have faith! If possible!".

It should be noted that Vintotinto fans can go to Plaza Venezuela, in Caracas, where there will be a giant screen so that everyone can enjoy each match of the national soccer team.

Salo and Romo stood out in the selection

With a goal from Salomón Rondón and goalkeeper Romo's 5 catches, Venezuela added three points to become the first classified in Group B of the Copa América.

In the first half of the game, Mexico looked superior to the Venezuelan team. His constant overflows on the wings generated clear scoring opportunities that were cut short by interventions by goalkeeper Rafael Romo.
