Francisco Álvarez: “I want to recover my rhythm”

The Venezuelan mask hit a home run and drove in three runs in the AA game this Thursday

Francisco Álvarez is taking leaps and bounds in his rehabilitation after surgery on his thumb at least a month ago. The Venezuelan coach is in Binghamton with the Double-A Rumble Ponies.

In this Thursday's game, Álvarez hit a home run to right field that drove in three runs, showing that his recovery is going from strength to strength.

In this sense, Álvarez spoke to the media about his evolution, stating: “I want to recover my rhythm because I want to come back faster and smarter. “I am going to play today and tomorrow and then I will rest on Saturday and Sunday,” he assured.

He also referred to the difficult moment the Mets are going through after the Jorge López episode, stating: “It hurts a lot. “The boys and I are also going through very difficult times right now, but we have to keep going.”

 Before his injury, the Venezuelan had a very good rhythm in the metropolitans, he had a .236 average thanks to a home run and 8 RBIs.
