Edwin Mijares joins Cocodrilos de Caracas

The Venezuelan point guard has already joined the Saurians' training sessions under the command of coach Luis Flores.

Caracas Crocodiles receive a luxury reinforcement to face what will be the postseason of the 2024 Professional Basketball Super League.

This is Edwin “Zancudito” Mijares, a highly experienced player who comes to provide energy and power in the paint.

Mijares joins the Saurio team after finishing his participation with the Colonias Gold team belonging to the National League of Paraguay, in which he participated in 33 games.

The native of Maracay left averages of 14.4 points per game on Paraguayan lands, with 5 assists per game and 3.8 rebounds.

“Zancudito” knows the saurians very well since he was part of the squad in the 2023 campaign, and is already at the disposal of coach Luis Flores. With Crocodiles the point guard had numbers of 8.5 points per game, 4.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds.

Upon his arrival in the capital, the player indicated that he feels happy to be with the team again. “The history of the team is a secret to no one, it is in the playoffs for a reason. I want to take on the game in the best way if they give me the opportunity,” he assured.
