Daniel Dhers loses his place in Paris 2024

The Venezuelan finished in box number 13 in the Budapest qualifier

The Venezuelan cyclist and silver medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Daniel Dhers, lost his chance to qualify for the Paris 2024 international event that will start on July 26.

The Venezuelan did not manage to get into the 12 finalists of the BMX Freestyle qualifier in Budapest by finishing just in box 13, thus leaving him with no chance at the Olympic event.

Dhers received a score of 76.27 after his performance failed to impress the judges in Budapest. The 12th ranked team received 79.65 points and the first one received a total of 89.04 points.

The athlete had a great chance of qualifying for the Olympic Games for the second time in a row, but by not being among the finalists he cannot maintain the world ranking requested by the tournament.

Despite not going as an athlete, Daniel Dhers will manage to be part of Paris 2024 by serving as part of the Chinese team's coaching staff, according to journalist Juan José Sayago.
