Andrés Machado added another rescue in Japan

The Venezuelan reliever of the Orix Buffaloes saved his 13th game

The Venezuelan pitcher of the Orix Buffaloes, Andrés Machado, obtained his 13th save of the season this Saturday during the 4-1 victory over the Nippon-Ham Fighters at Hotto Motto Field in Kobe; alternative home of the current two-time champions of the Pacific League in Kobe (Hyogo prefecture).

The right-hander retired all three batters he faced in the ninth inning; including two by way of strikeout, to leave at 1.99 and also earn his sixth save in a row; that is, in each of his last six presentations.

It should be noted that these 13 locks represent the fourth highest number in the Japanese Pacific, behind the Dominican Albert Abreu (Seibú, 14), Takahiro Norimoto (Rakuten, 18) and the Mexican Roberto Osuna, who has 20 for the second consecutive campaign with the SoftBank Hawks.

For its part, Orix leaves its record this season at 35-38 (two ties) and half a game away from the third place in the Pacific League, which currently has a tie between Rakuten and precisely Nippon-Ham.
