Tarek William Saab participated in the Lara book fair

He presented his book "Discourse at the foot of the hemicycle" and the essay "Saab"

The Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) and poet, Tarek William Saab, presented this Friday his book “Discourses at the foot of the hemicycle” edited by Monte Ávila and the essay “Saab” written about his literary work by the novelist Alberto Jimenez Ure published by Vadell Publishing House.

From the auditorium of the Lara State Government, the poet Saab participated in the exhibition of his poetic career in an interactive manner with the Vice Minister of Culture Raúl Cazal, Governor Adolfo Pereira, the Minister of Tourism Alí Padrón and the editor Valentina Vadell, in The journey of his particular creation, which to date covers 13 books published in Venezuela, Cuba, Colombia, Argentina and China, states a press release.

“When you start reading, you enter two worlds: the real one and the parallel that poetry creates, because it transports you to places and feelings that only the written word is capable of achieving,” said Saab.

The highest authority of the Public Ministry shared not only his extensive written work but also recreated his revolutionary experiences as líder student and defender of Human Rights in El Tigre, Mérida and Caracas from an early age and his passion for poetry and culture. Work that led him to win the main poetry awards of the time.

Likewise, Saab shared before a packed audience his beginnings and evolution in writing from an early age when he wrote his first poem “Lluvia” plus the trilogy of poetry collections “Los Ríos de la Ira”, “El Hacha de Los Santos” and “Prince of Rain and Duel.”

He also recalled his trip to Málaga Spain in 1993 as one of the winners of the Literature and Commitment Award that led him to share in said forum with figures of the stature of Mario Benedetti, José Saramago, Juan Goytisolo, Jorge Amado and Augusto Roa Bastos.

Finally, he closed the emotional cultural event with a poetic recital that captured the attention of his followers, which included the reading of the poem “Soñando el Largo Viaje” that he wrote during his stay in Sanare (Lara) that same day.
