Venezuela and China celebrated 50 years of diplomatic relations with a great joint symphonic concert

The Juan José Landaeta Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela and the National Symphony Orchestra of China performed jointly at the Beijing Concert Hall.

The cultural activity is part of an agenda to celebrate the 50 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Through her account on the social network X, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Hua Chunying, announced the activity, while congratulating Venezuela “for its dazzling success in promoting the model of changing the lives of young people with music, through the construction of the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs in the last almost 50 years".

The Venezuelan Orchestra was under the baton of Venezuelan Christian Vásquez, director of a group of young musicians with experience in demanding repertoires. While the Chinese one was directed by Jing Huan, in charge of the organization founded in 1956 as the Central Philharmonic Society.

Both orchestras showcased the countries' traditional music through a program that paid tribute to the cultural exchange between China and Venezuela.

In the context of the celebration, a thematic photographic exhibition will also be held that will portray the friendship between both nations, AVN reported.

Diplomatic relations between China and Venezuela have been characterized by respect, trust and mutual benefit.
