Luis Felipe Bellorín will teach how to understand poetry

With our American approach, the cycle will last seven weeks

The Rómulo Gallegos Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (Celarg) will begin a cycle of Poetic Readings of Our America, by the renowned professor and poet Luis Felipe Bellorín, who starting next Monday, June 10, will take a tour of the work of authors such as César Vallejo, Pablo Neruda, Jorge Luis Borges, Vicente Gerbasi, Nicolás Guillén and Derek Walcott, among others.

The meetings will take place for seven weeks. The dynamic establishes a weekly session in which participants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of poetry, in addition to reflecting on its importance in the social sphere.

This activity emphasizes the role of poetry as a tool for reflection, learning, and social and cultural development.

Luis Felipe Bellorín has more than fifty years of experience as a poet, composer and teacher. He currently coordinates the Permanent Workshop of Literary Studies of the Casa de Nuestra América José Martí. He has developed a wide range of activities to disseminate the thought of the Venezuelan philosopher Ludovico Silva.
