The Pope will meet with comedians from around the world

The audience will be held at the Apostolic Palace, then the pope will travel to the Apulia region in southern Italy to participate in the G7 meeting.

Pope Francis will meet on June 14 with more than a hundred comedians and comedy actors from all over the world, such as Americans Jimmy Fallon or Chris Rock, and others from Latin America and Spain, EFE reported.

The meeting will aim to “celebrate the beauty of human diversity and promote a message of peace, love and solidarity, and promises to be a significant moment of intercultural dialogue and exchange of joy and hope,” the Vatican stated.

The audience will be held in the Apostolic Palace and immediately afterwards the pope will travel to the Apulia region, in southern Italy, to participate in the G7 meeting.

Among the comedians who will participate are Americans Whoopi Goldberg, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jim Gaffigan, Conan O'Brien, Chris Rock and Tig Notaro.
There will also be comedians from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Spain.
