Mango jelly


• Green mangoes • Sugar

• 1 lemon (optional)


Mangoes are washed well and covered in water in a saucepan. They are cooked until they are opened, removed from the water and allowed to cool. They are then peeled and passed through a strainer, pressing hard until the pulp is obtained. To equal amount of mango pulp, equal amount of sugar; Mix the pulp and sugar in a saucepan and bring to the fire, stirring with a wooden spoon for approximately 15 minutes. We add a little lemon juice only if the mangoes are not very green. Remove from the heat and pour the mixture into a mold and let it cool. The next day it is removed from the mold and stored in the fridge covered with plastic wrap.
