Present today was Ambassador Qiu Xiaoqi, Representative of China for Latin American and Caribbean Affairs, who offered a speech in which he predicted greater prosperity for both nations.

“We want to express our deep admiration for the great Liberator Simón Bolívar, guarantor of the independence movements of Venezuela and several Latin American countries,” said Qiu, who added that Bolivarian thought was rescued by Commander Hugo Chávez to turn it into a firm stance against the hegemony of unilateralism.

“Our relations were already strong, with the visit of President Xi Jinping in 2014, when the comprehensive strategic partnership was signed… But in 2018, a disturbing factor arrived such as the sanctions, which affected cooperation between China and Venezuela,” he said. the senior official.

However, he highlighted that with the visit of President Nicolás Maduro to China in 2023, relations have been resumed with great strength, turning this friendship into a foolproof Alliance at all times, which raised cooperation to the highest level. binational.

“This stage has been called by President Nicolás Maduro, as splendor, which visualizes the future between China and Venezuela. What carries the message that there is nothing that can stop our relationship,” he expressed.

Also present at the solemn ceremony were the Sectoral Vice President of Public Works and Services, Jorge Eliéser Márquez, the Foreign Minister Yván Gil Pinto and the Chinese Ambassador to Venezuela, Lan Hu.
