Mayor Fuenmayor gave recognition to the older adult for her career

The mayor of Valencia, Julio Fuenmayor, celebrated the birthday of the oldest woman in Venezuela, Martina Pernalete, a native of the Santa Rosa parish of the capital of Carabobo.

The woman arrived last Tuesday at 121 years of age.

In that sense, Fuenmayor, through the Municipal Institute for the Elderly and People with Disabilities, granted special recognition to Pernalete, for being an example of wisdom, patience and dedication.

The local authority also accompanied the older adult in her birthday celebration, held at her home, located in Plaza de Toros, south of the city.

For his part, President Nicolás Maduro, through a telephone call, expressed his great emotion, love and fraternal greetings to Martina.

To celebrate the birthday of the oldest woman in the country, the Municipal Institute for the Elderly and People with Disabilities, through the Community Social Plan, developed the “More Years, More Love” Day, framed in the Great Mission Grandfathers and Grandmothers of Homeland.

This activity consisted of several circuits, where seniors could enjoy benefits such as medication deliveries, support in the food area, hairdressing and massages.
