Bolívar opens to the world with the first edition of FitBolívar

Until June 8, more than 40 exhibitors will show the natural and extraordinary benefits of the Bolívar state

With the traditional ribbon cutting, the Bolívar International Tourism Fair was officially inaugurated in Puerto Ordaz, where different national and international tour operators witnessed first-hand the experience and magic of an ancestral land.

More than 40 stands from both the public and private sectors showed through their brands why Bolívar is a unique tourist destination par excellence.

Tourist representatives from Brazil and Colombia, captivated from the moment of the inauguration, showed their firm desire to learn more about the benefits and potential of the area.

The intense tourist day included the participation of the Vice Minister for National Tourism, Asdrúbal Rincones; Governor Ángel Marcano; the mayor of Caroní, Tito Oviedo, who spoke about the importance of activating tourism mechanisms that consolidate this sector in the entity.

Especially for Vice Minister Rincones, the Bolívar state has natural characteristics that make it “par excellence” of being among the first 10 most interesting tourist destinations in the world, which is why he explained that the national tourism route is focused on exploiting the benefits of each state.

Likewise, he pointed out that this first edition of FitBolívar will open doors and alliances both nationally and internationally and assured that the international tourism fairs will be replicated in other states.

Governor Ángel Marcano explained that the materialization of FitBolívar is due to the execution of a rescue plan for an entire structure in the region that includes roads, hotel care and optimal public services.

"We drew up a plan for the comprehensive rebirth of the state and tourism is a fundamental piece in this process of harmonious development, but first it was necessary to define the entire route that brought us here and today we can say that we achieved it thanks to the constant support of the brother president Nicolás Maduro.”

Marcano pointed out that the region has the conditions to add significant economic contributions to the country from the tourism sector, so with the arrival of this international fair new alliances could be capitalized.

“We have natural resources and we have an entire productive scheme to turn the state into the country's non-oil economic alternative,” Marcano commented.

The theme of FitBolívar will have until June 8, in addition to the stands, the presentation of a series of presentations on the development of tourism from the ecological, commercial and social perspective within the national tourism development plan.
