To guarantee a daily production of 200 tons, the regional government is working on the modernization of the asphalt plant, located in the town of Santa Cruz, where the adaptation of the diesel asphalt plant was carried out for the use of gas. methane as main fuel.

Accompanied by representatives of the PDVSA Gas company, Governor Karina Carpio reported that a three-inch metal pipe was manufactured to transport methane gas for use in the boiler, which will result in a significant increase in asphalt production.

“This project will maximize our efforts, resources and will benefit the state of Aragua,” commented the president, who recalled that different works are being carried out to recover roads in the 18 municipalities of the state of Aragua, and thus guarantee safety. of the drivers.

In this regard, he recalled that through the deployment of the National Asphalt Plan, the approach is currently being carried out of the Maracay-Ocumare highway, where more than 7 thousand tons of asphalt are placed for the paving of various sections of the road, correction of edge failures, maintenance of ditches, drainage, demarcation, cleaning and road beautification work.

Likewise, in recent days, 230 tons of asphalt were placed in the community of Santo Domingo, located in the José Rafael Revenga municipality, to facilitate mobility and access to services for the inhabitants of the area; while in the Piñonal community of Maracay, the placement of more than a thousand tons of asphalt was carried out.
