“More Years, More Love” Day attended more than 700 grandparents in Turmero 

With free care in different medical specialties such as cardiology, internal medicine, dentistry, ophthalmology, traumatology, gynecology, nephrology, podiatry and dermatology, more than 700 grandparents in the Aragüeña town of Turmero were benefited, during the special day of comprehensive care for people of the elderly, called “More Years, More Love.”

The activity also included psychological care, recreational therapies, barber and hairdressing services, as well as nutritional care and free delivery of medications.

The activity attended by grandparents from the parishes of Casco de Turmero, Samán de Güere, Alfredo Pacheco Miranda and Pedro Arévalo Aponte, was carried out in the spaces of the Turmero nursing home, within the framework of the National Day of the Elderly, with the joint work of national, regional and municipal health teams.

Texalia Vaquero, general secretary of the Somos Venezuela Movement and the System of Missions and Great Missions in the Santiago Mariño municipality, highlighted that the day is part of the strategies of the Great Grandfathers and Grandmothers of Venezuela Mission, whose objective is to guarantee the well-being and medical care for this important sector of the population. “We are complying with President Nicolás Maduro's guidelines to provide comprehensive care to our grandparents, who are the vanguard and the fundamental pillar of our communities,” said Vaquero.

Finally, Egleé López, head of health for the Great Venezuela Women Mission and the Great Grandfathers and Grandmothers of the Homeland Mission, highlighted the work of the multidisciplinary health team that participated in the day, and added that they will continue to be deployed throughout the state of Aragua. providing care to older adults.
