House of Culture of San Fernando de Apure reopens its doors

With the presence of the different social movements, cultists, and the people of Apure, the House of Culture "Don Rómulo Gallegos" was reopened, located on Avenida España, in the San Fernando municipality.

"Today we took a first step with the reopening of this house, because it is not just about rescuing culture in San Fernando, it is rescuing culture throughout the Apure state, thinking big (...) we have all the willingness to do it", said the entity's governor, Eduardo Piñate.

Accompanied by the first combatant, Elizabeth de Gimón and the mayor Ofelia Padrón, they enjoyed a varied cultural repertoire between songs, dances, plays, exhibitions and artistic performances.

April Castillo, a member of the youth and children's cultural group of the House of Culture, said: "we feel happy, in this house our grandparents, our parents and our cultists gave their lives and left us traditions, customs and history."

The House of Culture "Don Rómulo Gallegos" serves more than 120 cultists and artists. It will be open to the public from Monday to Sunday.
