a triumphant return

The return of the San Celestino Half Marathon in 2023, after a decade of absence, marked a milestone in Barcelona sports.

The consolidation of this event in its second edition, with a significant number of participants and a high competitive level, demonstrates the commitment of local authorities to the promotion of sports and recreation.

This year, the local president highlighted the participation of runners from several states in the country, among which she mentioned Táchira, Falcón, Miranda, Mérida, Aragua, Carabobo, Guárico, Bolívar, Sucre and the Capital District, which she said commits her to continue promoting the half marathon, which this year has been the one that awarded the best prizes to the winning athletes.

The San Celestino Half Marathon 2024 has not only been a sporting competition, but also a celebration of the culture and traditions of Barcelona, projected at the San Celestino Fair that offers activities until this Sunday the 19th.

The massive participation of the community and the enthusiasm of the athletes have turned this event into a true party for the city, as expressed by the municipal authority.

The 10K for everyone

Although they were not registered, the dogs Nucita, 6 years old, Zenchy, 4, and Bell, one and a half years old, participated in the 10K race held within the framework of the San Celestino Fair.

These pets of the Beagle breed ran with their caretaker Carlos Zambrano, in a clear demonstration of the responsibility that comes with having and caring for a companion animal.

The protagonists are not newbies, they have already participated in the canicross that the Barcelona mayor's office has also organized.
