Good oral hygiene prevents tooth loss in dogs

Tartar, plaque, gum infections, bad breath and loss of teeth are some of the problems that dogs can present if they do not have good oral hygiene.

The Las Acacias Veterinary Clinic recommends that you brush your dog's teeth daily, even if the pet refuses and makes the task difficult. She points out that they can clean her teeth by rubbing a gauze moistened with water.

The specialists of the center affirm that like humans, dogs also require an annual dental cleaning in order to remove dental plaque for the prevention of periodontal disease and loss of teeth.
