The statistics reflect that in the last 24 hours the countries with the most deaths were Russia with 778, Malaysia (376) and Iran (344).

Regarding the total figures, it was highlighted that the number of deaths in the United States rose to 673.765 with 42.087.485 infections, figures that show that the United States tops the list of countries with the highest number of deaths from the virus, followed by Brazil, with 590.752 deaths and 21.239.783 cases, India, with 445.133 deaths (33.478.419 cases), Mexico, with 271.503 deaths (3.569.677 cases), and Peru, with 199.066 deaths (2.167.008 cases).

Peru has the highest mortality rate, with 604 deaths per 100.000 inhabitants, followed by Hungary (312), Bosnia (311), North Macedonia (310), Montenegro (294), and Bulgaria (288).

Meanwhile, Latin America and the Caribbean added 1.473.165 deaths (44.422.489 infections), Europe 1.288.262 (66.114.152), Asia 824.079 (52.888.412), United States and Canada 701.160 (43.660.830), Africa 206.042 (8.163.881), Middle East 194.473 (13.087.178), and Oceania 1.959 (157.871).

The international agency AFP clarified that this balance was made using data from national authorities collected by AFP offices and with information from the World Health Organization (WHO) and that due to corrections by the authorities or the late publication of the data , the increase in the 24-hour published figures may not exactly match the previous day's numbers.
