The president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, highlighted this Thursday the transformation of the country with the arrival of Néstor Kirchner to power 20 years ago.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Fernández stated that with his arrival in power in May 2003, "Argentina recovered the warmth of the embrace and the collective struggle."
“Thanks to him, from the cold winds of the south, all of Argentina recovered the warmth of the embrace and the collective struggle. He united us and called us, with enormous courage, to believe in the transformation of the country to face the greatest adversities. And win, ”he wrote on the social network.
Nestor Kirchner served as President from May 25, 2003 to December 10, 2007, a period during which he managed to reduce poverty and unemployment.
According to a dispatch from latin press, Kichner ordered the reform of the Supreme Court and promoted the trials of the perpetrators of crimes against humanity during the last civil-military dictatorship in this country (1976-1983).
As part of the activities, it is known that the Vice President of Argentina, Cristina Fernández, will be the main speaker at the event for the 20th anniversary of the arrival of Néstor Kirchner (1950-2010) to the Presidency, to be held in the capital Plaza of May.
In this activity, the presence of members of the Frente de Todos (FdT), representatives of social groups and trade unionists is expected.
