Ramaphosa added that “all participants in the conflict must ensure that the fighting and hostilities come to an immediate end, that all hostages are immediately released and that Israel immediately withdraws its military forces from Gaza.”

“Only in this way can the rights of the Palestinian civilian population be protected,” he stressed.
