Francia Márquez votes for a Colombia without violence

Francia Márquez urged all of Colombia to receive the results of the elections "in peace, calmly, with energy, with enthusiasm."

Francia Márquez, candidate for the vice presidency of Colombia and running mate of Gustavo Petro, voted today in the municipality of Suárez, department of Cauca, where he expressed his desire that the country live without violence, he reviewed Prensa Latina.

«Let's live tasty! I am voting so that my municipality does not have to continue living in violence and so that my people do not continue to be afraid. I am here so that young people have access to education. Let's go Colombia!”, specified the social leader.

The environmental activist told those present that "we are tired of violence, my people have suffered from violence, the youth here have no opportunities."

He urged all of Colombia to receive the results of the elections "in peace, calm, with energy, with enthusiasm."

39 million two thousand 239 citizens are entitled to choose between the Historic Pact formula, made up of Gustavo Petro and Francia Márquez, and the binomial of the League of Anticorruption Governors, made up of Rodolfo Hernández and Merelen Castillo.

The two candidacies arrive at this day with a technical tie, according to some polls, although others give an advantage of 10 percentage points to Petro.
